Easel of carved wood containing a lancet and an attached manuscript note.
Was used to bleed the carotids of the king of Sardenia, Carlos Alberto, at the time of embalming, under orientation of the surgeon Professor Manuel Maria da Costa Leite.
Steel, brass and tortoiseshell; 19th century.
Contains five unreadable characters followed by "London".
